Overall condition: Fair. The memorial is cared for.

Description:

Oaken panelled wainscoting around the sides of the apsidal chancel. The panels have blind quatrefoil tracery at the head and extend the full height between the moulded dado rail and a skirting in the form of a plinth with quatrefoil decoration. It us uncertain whether the memorial includes the communion rail. A brass plaque on the panelling bears an incised inscription in upright capital roman lettering.

History

c1921: The memorial was installed.

27th March, 1921: The memorial was unveiled by Mr H Stocks and dedicated by Rev H W Fuller.

17th July, 1971: The Wesleyan Methodist Church lies within the Bolsover Conservation Area first designated on that date.

Unknown dates: The Wesleyan Methodist Church was renamed the Trinity Methodist Church and subsequently the Bolsover Methodist Church.

6th August, 2016: The plaque was photographed by Barbara Grayson. It was in fair condition.

2nd February, 2017: The memorial was visited by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition.
