Description:

An oblong plot of land laid out to lawns with a central path leading to a circular bed containing shrubs and war memorials. The plot also contains benches, trees and further shrubs and is bounded by coniferous hedges.

History and Conservation
1951: The memorial was laid out.

1st February, 1972: The Barlborough Conservation Area was first designated. The memorial was within it.

10th October, 2012: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in good condition.

Comments
The ornamental arch gives access to the garden of remembrance but does not form part of it. It was erected in 1869 by William de Rodes as a memorial to his late wife Sophy Felicite de Rodes.
