Description:
An inscription on a slate tablet affixed to the headstone on a family grave. The tablet bears an inscription incised in upright capital block lettering. The low, oblong, concrete headstone has a battered face and is accompanied by concrete kerbs which have been damaged, especially at the foot. The surface of the grave is covered with stone chippings and it bears a plain square stone vase.

3rd May, 2022: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot It was in fair condition except for the kerbs which were very poor.

The casualty is recorded by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission as Pte 15142 Harold Bucknall,10th Battn, Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment) who died on 14th February 1916, aged 19 years.
