Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible.
|
Description:
An addition to the lettering on a headstone on a family grave. The low sandstone headstone has a roof-like feature at the top, a raised panel with a triangular arch top on the face, and a pilaster with a lancet-shaped niche to each side. The headstone surmounts an oblong sandstone base with a bevelled top, and is accompanied by oblong sandstone kerbs with the maker's name incised at the foot. The headstone bears an incised inscription mainly in upright capital roman lettering.
