Location details:
The plaque is facing the road at the boundary of the property near the corner of The Green. Middleton is sometimes known as Middleton by Wirksworth to distinguish it from other locations.

Description:

A tableau created in a residential garden containing figures, a shelter and a plaque. Metal silhouette figures of a horse and a dog are against a wall, seemingly looking at each other. A crude shelter has a timber frame, corrugated metal walls and sandbags on the roof. By the side of of the public road a metal plaque is supported on wooden posts and has a black painted inscription in upright capital roman lettering.
