Location details:
The village hall is on the north side of School La at the eastern end of the village. The memorial was in the grounds, near the southern boundary wall next to the road.

Description:

A temporary Derbyshire well dressing display traditionally made from flowers and other vegetation pressed into clay held in a wooden frame but now often utilising stones, beads, fabric etc. The dressing comprised an upright oblong frame with pointed arch top and subdivided into three panels. The central panel depicted a silhouette of a WW2 four-engined bomber and single engine fighter aircraft against a sky of blues, pinks and white and with a superimposed section of the red, white and blue RAF roundel. The lower part of this panel, and the lower panel had a green representation of the landscape. The upper panel was coloured green with a red poppy at the centre and the inscriptions were borne on the upper and lower panels in black sentence case lettering.

Spring - Summer 2018: The dressing was designed and assembled by members of the local community.

Unknown date, 2018: The dressing was dedicated by members of the local clergy and photographed by Glyn Williams.

Unknown date, 2018: The dressing was dismantled and the components salvaged for future use.
