Overall type: Picture Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible and the memorial is cared for.


Description:

A framed and glazed print after Margaret Tarrant depicting a woodland scene of children with several mammals observing children as angels bearing flowers and fruit. Bands at the head and foot bear the lines ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL, ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL/ ALL THINGS WISE & WONDERFUL, THE LORD GOD MADE THEM ALL. A caption at the foot bears the inscription in mixed styles of lettering.

21st December, 1941: The print was presented to Rockingham Road Infants' School, by Cllr Mrs C F Lewin, mother of the deceased.

Unknown date: The print is believed to have been transferred to a nonconfirmist church.

Unknown date: The print was purchased by the present owner from an antique dealer in Weedon.

30th June, 2019: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson. It was in fair condition and cared for although time had brought about some fading
