Overall type: Addition to gravestone Overall condition: Poor. The inscription is legible but the headstone has been laid flat on the kerbs..


Description:

Originally a low headstone accompanied by kerbs. The oblong white marble headstone has stepped shoulders and a shallow arch top, but has been laid flat on the kerbs. It bears an inlaid inscription in upright capital block and roman lettering. The grave is surrounded by plain oblong white marble kerbs,

The casualty's birth was registered as Alan and his death was recorded by CWGC as Sgt 1211834 Alan Millband, 69 Sqn Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died on 21st July 1943, aged 21 years.
