Location details:
In the sixth row east of the main path and about two-thirds of the way north from the side path.
Type
Overall type: Addition to gravestone Overall condition: Good. The memorial is intact and the inscription is legible.


Description:

A granite headstone and base on a family grave. The polished oblong headstone has a flat top with a projecting right corner and bears a tall narrow incised cross in the top right corner and an incised inscription in upright capital roman lettering. The reverse face of the headstone bears the badge of the Parachute Regiment incised in the top left corner and an inscription incised in upright capital roman lettering. The headstone surmounts an oblong polished granite base which incorporate a vase in the centre at the front. The headstone has been assessed as unstable and is supported by a band attached to a stake.

Pte Green is recorded on the MoD Roll of Honour as Pte 23887756 Robert George Green of the Parachute Regiment who died on 12th April 1965, aged 20, and was buried at Kranji Military Cemetery, Singapore.
