Comments
This memorial does not fall within the normally accepted definition of a war memorial as Lt Stiven is buried in the grave. However, it is included here because, although his death is attributed to the conflict, it is not yet recognised or recorded by the CWGC.

When the cemetery was opened it was first called the General Cemetery and later the Old Cemetery: today it is widely known as Uttoxeter New Road Cemetery or just Uttoxeter Road Cemetery.
