Location details: Although Boulton-by-Derby is the historical name, it is today just known as Boulton, and although widely considered to be part of Alvaston it is an ecclesiastical parish in its own right. The church is on the north side of the road, the gravestone is at the western boundary of the churchyard, abutting the fence.

Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible.
|
Description:
Lettering added to a headstone on a family grave. The low, white marble headstone has a shallow rounded-arch top with stepped shoulders and surmounts a three-stepped base containing a flower holder. The inlaid inscription is in upright capital roman lettering.
