WHO DIED ON MAY 25TH. 1915, AT BAILLEUL IN FRANCE HAVING BEEN MORTALLY WOUNDED AT YPRES IN BELGIUM THE PREVIOUS DAY, DEARLY LOVED ELDER SON OF JOHN HENRY AND DOROTHY MARIAN TOPHAM OF THIS PLACE, AGED 23 YEARS. "BUT THE SOULS OF THE RIGHTEOUS ARE IN THE HAND OF GOD AND THERE SHALL NO TORMENT TOUCH THEM" WISDOM. III.I.

The church lies within the Morley Conservation Area. 10th November, 1967: The church was listed Grade I, Heritage List for England reference 1205838. 13th May, 2009: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and it was in good condition. 4th April, 2015: The memorial was photographed by Roy Branson and it was in good condition.
