The memorial is just a few metres to the west of the church.
Type
Overall type: Addition to gravestone. Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible.


Description:

A granite headstone on a family grave. The low, oblong tablet is roughly dressed but has a polished battered face bearing an inlaid inscription in upright capital block lettering. The maker's details are incised at the foot of the surrounding polished granite kerbstones, but are illegible.

Jack Bagshaw was Pte 56045 John Bagshaw, 1st Battn Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment), who died near Aisne, France on 27th May, 1918 aged 39 .
