Description:

A traditional temporary Derbyshire well dressing display made from flowers and other vegetation pressed into clay held in a wooden frame. The design comprised a hexagonal panel with attached caption and depicted the badge of the Sherwood Foresters superimposed on a layer of oak leaves.

History and Conservation

Spring 2014: The memorial was designed and the frame and regimental badge were made by Roger Wood and the dressing was created by residents of Bramble Lodge Residential Home.

12th July, 2014: The dressing was blessed by the local clergy

12th - 17th July, 2014: The dressing was displayed.

16th July, 2014: The memorial was photographed by Glyn Williams, when it was in fair condition.

18th July, 2014: The well dressing was dismantled and the components salvaged for future use.
