Description:

A traditional temporary Derbyshire well dressing display made from flowers and other vegetation pressed into clay held in a wooden frame. The circular dressing depicted a woman controlling a horse-drawn plough in a countryside setting with the rays of the rising sun in the background. A green annular border carried the inscription in brown and black upright capital lettering at the head, and some typical produce including onions, leeks and carrots at the foot.

History and Conservation
Spring 2014: The memorial was designed and erected by members of the local community.

12th July, 2014:  The dressing was blessed by the local clergy

12th - 17th July, 2014: The dressing was displayed.

16th July, 2014: The memorial was photographed by Glyn Williams, when it was in fair condition.

18th July, 2014: The well dressing was dismantled and the components salvaged for future use.
