Location details:
The church is accessed from a track running east from the un-named road running north-south through the village. The memorial was on the south wall of the nave.

Description:

A temporary display modelled on the concept of the "Weeping Window" at the Tower of London and comprising a white fabric sheet flowing from a window and spreading over the tops of the pews. Many knitted or crotched red poppies were distributed over the surface of sheet and the display was accompanied by a small caption bearing the inscription.

History and Conservation
17th April, 1951: The church lies within the Peak District National Park created on this date.

21st April, 1967: The church was listed Grade II*, Heritage List for England number 1087930.

Unknown date: The church lies within the Wormhill and Hargatewall Conservation Area.

Autumn 2018: The memorial was displayed for a limited time in commemoration of the centenary of the WW1 Armistice.

29th August, 2018: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in good condition and cared for but has subsequently been dismantled.
