Description:
An addition to the lettering on a family gravestone. The tall sandstone headstone is in the style of a scroll unfurled over a stone wall and bears an incised inscription mainly upright decorative capital lettering, with an official Memorial Plaque (Death Penny) inset at the foot. The headstone is accompanied by oblong kerbs.

ALSO CHRISTOPHER, SON OF THE ABOVE & CATHERINE MARSH KILLED IN FRANCE APRIL 23RD 1917 IN HIS 23RD YEAR ALSO IDA LYDIA DAUGHTER OF THE ABOVE DIED OCT. 30TH 1918, AGED 22 YEARS. ALSO JONATHAN, SON, DIED IN HIS INFANCY.
