| Description: An oblong white marble tablet with a reverse-curve top and a badge of the Sherwood Foresters Regiment in relief at the head. The inscription is incised in upright capital block lettering coloured black. The tablet is mounted on a plain oblong backboard with a very smooth black finish having no texture or characteristics to identify whether it is marble, slate or even wood. Glossary |
