Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible but deteriorating.
|
Description:
An addition to a headstone on a family grave. The memorial comprises a tall white marble headstone with a pointed arch top and recessed sides. At the head is a triangular panel containing a design of foliage and the opening inscription in relief. The remaining inscription is inlaid mainly in upright capital block lettering and the headstone surmounts an oblong base with a bevelled top bearing a further inscription.

ALSO HARRY, SON OF THE ABOVE WHO DIED NOVR 6TH 1879, AGED 11 MONTHS, ALSO EMMA, DAUGHTER OF THE ABOVE WHO DIED AUGT 6TH 1880 AGED 4 YEARS AND 10 MONTHS ALSO GEORGE ERNEST, SON OF THE ABOVE WHO DIED JUNE 15TH 1887, AGED 11 MONTHS. ALFRED, SON, KILLED IN FRANCE OCT. 4. 1917. ELLEN DIED APR 23, 1927.
