Location details:
The church is on the north side of the road to the north of the village. The memorial is on the south face of the chancel arch.
Type
Overall type: Church restoration accompanied by a board. Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible and the memorial is cared for.


Description:

Refurbishment of the chancel of the Church of St Michael, accompanied by a board. The details of the refurbishment are not known but the upright oblong wooden board has a moulded frame and is painted brown with a painted cream inscription in upright capital roman lettering.

* Service is not stated on the memorial but Capt Buckston is known to have served with the 1/1st Derbyshire Yeomanry in Egypt, the Balkans and France in WW1.

30th November, 2018: The memorial was photographed, but not fully surveyed, by Roy Branson. It was in fair condition and cared for.
