Overall type: Window. Overall condition: Good. The inscription is legible and the memorial is cared for.


Description:

A stained glass window in a pointed arch opening. The trefoil-headed main light is flanked at the head by a pair of small kite-shaped panes with a larger trefoil pane above. The main light has diamond-shaped panes of plain glass with the badges of the North Staffordshire Regiment, The Essex Regiment and the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment in full colour at the centre. At its head is a ribbon bearing the dedication and at the foot is a full-width panel bearing the inscription. The ribbon and panel are tinged with gold at the edges and the inscriptions are in black upright sentence-case gothic lettering with gold highlighting on selected letters. The three small panes at the head are decorated with foliage and flowers in blue and gold.

19th January, 1967: The church was listed Grade II, Heritage List for England number 1334611. The window is mentioned in the listing description.

21st September, 2019: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Anne Branson. It was in good condition and cared for.
