| Description: A sandstone monument comprising a tapered octagonal pillar supporting a rectangular carved lantern-head with a figure of Christ in relief within a recessed panel on the 6 o'clock face. The pillar surmounts a monolithic oblong pedestal with partially canted corners containing rounded decorative chamfers. the 6 o'clock face of this pedestal bears dates in relief within a shield with raised edges, and an inscription incised in upright capital roman lettering. This pedestal surmounts a further octagonal ashlar pedestal with niches on the four principal faces and names incised on some intermediate faces in upright capital roman lettering. The whole surmounts an octagonal ashlar base. |

History
Unknown date: An infill panel was fitted into part of one of the names.
1940s:The WW2 inscription is presumed to have been added in the latter part of the decade.
21st March, 2016: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition. Most of the monument had a light coating of lichen but this did not significantly impair the legibility of the inscriptions.
