Overall condition: Fair. The inscription is legible.


Description:

An addition to the lettering on a limestone headstone on a family grave. The tall headstone has a pointed arch top with a moulded border and attached colonnettes to each side. It bears a spray of foliage in relief in a crescent at the head and an inscription inlaid in upright mainly capital lettering. It surmounts an oblong limestone base with bevelled top.

History and Conservation
17th July, 1969: The Repton Conservation Area was first designated. The memorial lies within it.

28th February 2014: The memorial was surveyed, but not photographed, by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition.

21st May, 2014: The memorial was photographed by Roy Branson. It was in fair condition.

4th February, 2018: The memorial was photographed by Richard Roberts. It was in fair condition although some of the lettering was missing or damaged, and the carved ornamentation at the head was noted as becoming weathered..
